Minister briefed on Guinea-Bissau's diverse cultures and history

 

H.E. Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, visited the Guinea-Bissau Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, located in the Opportunity District under the theme ‘Country of a thousand rivers.’

During the visit, H.E. Al Zeyoudi emphasized the importance of Expo 2020 Dubai as the platform that brings the world together in the UAE’s soil in harmony and cooperation to exhibit their best innovations, creations, and vision for the future, and showcase their civilization and heritage in order to strengthen dialogue and partnerships for a sustainable future.

The minister underlined the importance of this global event in promoting the promising investment opportunities offered by the UAE economy, the country's advanced infrastructure supported by technology and innovation, and its vision of a future economy based on diversity, innovation, technology, and talent, in view of the principles and objectives of the 50.

During his visit, H.E. Al Zeyoudi was briefed on Guinea-Bissau's diverse cultures and the historical stages of development of this West African nation, as well as on its ethnic diversity, its charming wildlife, and its projects for a sustainable future economy.

The Guinea-Bissau Pavilion enables visitors to learn about opportunities offered by the country in various areas including agricultural techniques, the diversity of its people, cultures, and exciting wildlife, as well as its plans for sustainable growth. It also provides them with the opportunity to learn about the features of the Bijagós Islands nature reserve.
