H.E. Bin Touq to lead UAE delegation to VivaTech 2025 in Paris to explore strategic collaborations that enhance the competitiveness of entrepreneurial projects
Delegation includes over 50 representatives from business incubators, government entities, and UAE startups
H.E. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy, will lead the UAE’s economic delegation to France this week to participate in VivaTech 2025, taking place in Paris from June 11 to 14 under the theme “The New Frontiers of Innovation.” The event will bring together a broad international audience of decision-makers, industry leaders, and innovation pioneers from around the world. The UAE’s participation in the event aims to strengthen global partnerships in the fields of entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology, while exploring collaborative opportunities in future-focused economic sectors with French and European markets. It also seeks to enhance the global competitiveness of UAE-based startups.
The UAE delegation includes more than 50 representatives from government entities, business incubators, and UAE-based startups, alongside key players from the country’s entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology ecosystem. VivaTech serves as a strategic platform to showcase the innovative products, services, and solutions developed by UAE enterprises, while also facilitating opportunities for partnerships and investment with French, European, and global companies.
During the visit, H.E. Abdulla bin Touq will hold official meetings with French ministers and senior officials to explore avenues for strengthening bilateral economic cooperation—particularly in the fields of entrepreneurship, innovation, and other sectors of mutual interest. The programme will also feature business engagements and site visits to leading French institutions specializing in entrepreneurship, technology, and research and development.
The UAE’s participation in VivaTech aligns with its efforts to reinforce its position as a global hub for SMEs and startups based on innovation, technology and R&D. It aims to enhance the capabilities of UAE companies, while also expanding their opportunities for access and competiveness and partnerships in global markets. The initiative supports the UAE’s knowledge- and innovation-driven economic model and embraces emerging technological trends that enhance competitiveness and drive sustainable development, in line with the "We the UAE 2031" vision.
VivaTech is the largest technology exhibition for startups in Europe. The 2025 edition of the event is expected to attract over 165,000 visitors and will highlight key themes including cutting-edge technologies and the latest developments in artificial intelligence (AI), with a focus on its diverse applications across sectors such as industry, healthcare, and innovation. The event will also discuss the impacts of innovation and technology in advancing the sustainability and growth of the economy by highlighting latest technological tools across smart cities, digital health, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and advanced financial technologies. Additionally, this year’s edition will place significant emphasis on sustainability, highlighting innovative technological solutions that address environmental challenges and promote sustainable development.
