UAE Minister of Economy to lead economic delegation to Kyrgyzstan to explore new trade & investment partnerships

 

A joint business forum will be organized between the two countries during the visit

 

 

 H.E. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy, will lead an economic and trade delegation to Kyrgyzstani capital Bishkek. The visit, which will last from May 31 to June 3, will explore ways to enhance trade and investment cooperation between the two countries, develop development partnerships in sectors of shared interest and explore new investment opportunities.

 

A joint business forum will be organized between the two countries during the visit, in addition to government meetings, and field visits to the Bishkek Free Economic Zone and companies operating in the sectors of food and beverage, building materials, textiles and clothing by the UAE delegation.

 

During the visit, the UAE Federation of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry will sign two memorandums of understanding with the Business Council of the Eurasian Economic Union and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic to strengthen cooperation between the private sectors of the two countries and establish the UAE-Kyrgyzstan Business Council.

 

The meetings will be attended by H.E. Dr. Muhammad Saeed Al Ariqi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Kazakhstan, and H.E. Abdullatif Juma Bayev, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UAE. The visiting UAE delegation consists of representatives of federal and local government agencies and the private sector, as the private sector constitutes more than 70 per cent of the delegation members, including investors and companies in food, aviation, tourism, renewable energy, real estate, infrastructure, logistics, water, and environment solutions sectors.

The UAE economic delegation’s visit to Kyrgyzstan aims to establish a new phase of joint economic and trade cooperation and to educate the business communities of the two countries about the facilities, incentives and opportunities offered, ways to benefit from the economic potentials and capabilities available in the markets of the two countries. The priority sectors will be agriculture, food industries, manufacturing, transport, logistics, and tourism, the main drivers for developing the relations between the two countries in the next stage.
