- Annual maintenance fee within 3 months from the due date No fees required (but the payment process must be completed)
- Penalties - Late charges (within 3 months from the due date): for individuals AED 200/month
- Penalties - Late charges (within 3 months from the due date): for companies AED 400/month
- Retrieval of application (after 6 months from the due date) No fees required (but the payment process must be completed)
Conditions and Requirements
- The annual fee is calculated from the date of submitting the application.
- For the national phase of Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) application, it is calculated retroactively from the international filing date.
- Late charges are imposed after the three month grace period; and are charged monthly for 3 months (up to AED 600 for individuals and AED 1,200 for companies).
