| Defect Description | The affected vehicles fail to conform, in part, to Federal/Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (F/CMVSS) No. 108, “Lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment.” The daytime running lamps (DRLs) may not deactivate when the headlamps are on. If the DRLs do not deactivate when the headlamps are on, the resulting glare could increase the risk of a crash. |
| Procedure | If special instructions are provided, they will be communicated to our customers through our dealers. Customers who own a vehicle involved in the recall will be notified by their dealer. General Motors’ dealers will update the software in the vehicles’ Body Control Module (BCM) to correct the condition. The inspection/ repair will be done at no cost to the customer. |
