Defect DescriptionIn the affected vehicles, a concern has been identified where the front crash sensor fastener may not have been installed to the specified level of torque. There is a risk that the front crash sensors may become loose resulting in incorrect operation of the passive safety system. This could lead to increased occupant injury or, in the case of inadvertent frontal airbag deployment, loss of vehicle control increasing the risk of a crash.
ProcedureAl Tayer Motors and Premier Motors will contact the affected customers to inform them about this recall, and ask them to bring their cars in order the front crash sensor fixing, will be tightened to the specified level of torque free of charge. Every effort will be made to minimise any inconvenience caused during the short time required for the work to be carried out.
