Request to recall goods

This service allows submitting a request to recall goods, following up on recalls of defective or dangerous goods submitted by the supplier, the concerned party, or the relevant authority in the country, in the country of origin, or any other country, and working on implementing the recalls within the country.

Required Documents

    First Stage:

    • A copy of the vehicle identification number (chassis number) or a copy of the barcode numbers for goods.
    • Proposed publication advertisement of the recall (publication in at least two local daily magazines, one of which is in Arabic, and publication in all websites and social media of the supplier or the Concerned Authority within (24) twenty-four hours of the discovery of the defect).
    • A copy of the manufacturer's notification letter to the supplier.

     

    Second Stage:

    • A copy of the published advertisement.
    • A final report of the data of goods recalled in accordance with Cabinet Resolution No. (66) of 2023 Concerning the Executive Regulations of Federal Law No. (15) of 2020 Concerning Consumer Protection.

Steps and Procedures

    Choose the service from the list of E-Services.

    Sign in with UAE PASS.

  • 03

    Fill in the application data.

    Check the Recall documents and ensure that the required data is provided.

    Send the approval document to the applicant or request to amend the documents, if necessary.

  • 04

    After receiving approval from the Department, the Recall shall be published in the newspapers by the applicant and a copy of the published announcement shall be provided to the Department.

    Provide a report to the Department showing that all customers have received recall procedures.

    Close the procedure if the report shows that all customers received the recall service.
