These laws feature a set of chapters that include the name of the cooperative association, its headquarters, work area and purposes, conditions and requirements for membership, funds and shares, members’ responsibilities, management and related competencies, details of appointing an auditor, and the ordinary and extraordinary general assembly. The model by-law of a cooperative society also specifies the details of the fiscal year, net profits distribution, losses and the general reserve, in addition to the conditions for dissolving the existing society.
