Your Rights as a Consumer

The United Arab Emirates issued Federal Law No (15) of 2020 on Consumer Protection, with the aim to strengthen the UAE’s consumer protection practices; by ensuring the quality of goods and services provided, enabling access to appropriately-priced goods and services and maintaining the health and safety of consumers who utilise or acquire such goods and services. The law encourages healthy consumer patterns, adoption of the best regulatory guidelines and standards for controlling markets to ensure their stability and prosperity, balancing the interests of vendors and consumers in UAE markets and on e-commerce platforms, and providing mechanisms that maintain consumer protection in emergency situations.
