Departments of Ministry of Economy
The Ministry of Economy consists of several sectors that cater to development, entrepreneurship, small and medium enterprises, regulation of commercial affairs, supervision and follow-up, support services, and foreign trade affairs. Within each of these sectors, there are several departments that work together to achieve the objectives of the economic plans. There are 24 departments in the Ministry of Economy that conduct their activities at the state level; each department is entrusted with detailed and specific functions. New departments have been added in the wake of the new Cabinet formation in order to meet the requirements of the UAE Centennial 2071 and economic plans that focus on SME development, entrepreneurship management, and investment and talent attraction management.

The Trade Promotion Department prepares, develops and implements the strategy to strengthen the UAE's non-oil exports. It is involved in increasing the presence of Emirati products in target markets and coordinating the local governments' plans to participate in local and international trade fairs.
