Sharjah International Book fair

Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF), one of the world’s largest book fairs, hosts more than 400 literary events, including writing workshops, poetry readings, book signings and a star-studded line-up of renowned literary figures and authors.

A huge attraction for literature buffs, SIBF attracts over 2 million visitors and more than 1,400 international publishing houses every year, while books cover diverse genres in over 210 languages.

The fair’s Translations Grant Fund provides funding assistance to both Arab and foreign publishers for the translation of literary works and titles into various languages, including fiction, memoirs, history, cookery, children’s stories, poetry and scientific books.
